The onset of the Olympics was full of negativity and the publics perception was a far cry from being described as being the event of a lifetime..... but wow how we could be so very wrong.
From the Olympic Opening Ceremony right through to the recent Para Olympic games there is a clear demonstration of why we are GREAT Britain. I can only hope that this inspiration and collective enthusiasm continues throughout other aspects of our country, including our society as a whole and sub societies ... including the many footballers out there whose indiscretions and private lives take front page news shadowing there own talents and successes. I feel they have been shamed by these true athletes whose sheer dedication and determination has been rewarded and shown the world how fabulous they can be ♥ they have become the true role models our country has been searching for and their success will continue to shine.
What an inspiration to our generation ♥ This has been a first class example of how if u believe in your dreams you can make them a reality ♥
♥ Congratulations to all our Olympians who have injected such positivity into society and made us all proud to be British ♥
Also a huge thank you to all of the volunteers and games makers that have made London 2012 possible. ♥

Saturday saw the start of my favourite time of year , and the very seasons that inspired me to start this blog.
Not only do i love the thought of cosy nights in with toasted marshmallows and over sized knits but September is a month i believe for new beginnings ; where many children will have crisp new school shirts and jumpers that there mum promises they will grow into . They have a fresh start to a new school year to shine and to seize new opportunities.
I will be returning to uni as a third year student and although i have no clue where the last 2 years have gone i do will be seizing every opportunity in building the best possible future for myself.
Therefore for all those sun worshipers who are sad to see the summer disappear for one more year why not use September as your mid year january and get cracking with a new resolution and start something new.
Whether your stuck in a rut and need a change or simply want to try something new now is the time to make yourself sparkle ..... especially when January comes and your resolutions are already well under way you will feel on top of the world.

THE SPICE GIRLS

Team GB has done our country extremely proud during the games by demonstrating first class sportsmanship throughout and of course by coming third in the medal table !!
London has been such a spectacular host that it will be sad to see the games coming to an end ....
But every cloud has a silver lining ..,
And that silver glimmer of hope comes in the form of five fabulous females ; Posh , Scary , Baby , Sporty and of course Ginger ..... Collectively known as the Spice Girls , whom will be performing to celebrate the closing of the games.
As my childhood favourites I will be sure to be hunting out my platforms shoes and union jack dress to Spice up my Night !!
In honour of these fabulous memories here is a short little homage to the best girl band EVER...
Although I am yet to have a big sparkly rock on my finger I am honoured to have been asked to be my sister in Law to be's Maid of Honour .... This is not only a fabulous excuse to wear a pretty dress but to also get my hands stuck in to planning my first real wedding .
WEDDING PLANNER HERE I COME..
Other then a four day weekend to thank her Majesty for I think this weekend is a splendid opportunity to celebrate all things british ... even if that means simply cracking open a bottle of Pimms ( any excuse) !! Or maybe going as far as a second bottle with a rather patriotic picnic of cucumber sandwiches and strawberry jam scones.
P.S Dont forget the bunting ...
As a lover of crowns and all things british I am sure to get involved with festivities of some kind....
