My festive anticipation has altered slightly over the past years , still sticking with christmasy themed advertising just with a completely different brand .
This of course being John Lewis...
These adverts capture your heart and give you the warm fuzzy feeling that christmas brings, with last years advert even making me shed a little tear.
No matter what your age or whether you are the biggest scrooge they take you back to a time when you were small and christmas was the most magical time of your life.
Tapping into emotional cognitions is a very clever advertising technique, and although in some circumstances I believe this is a little unethical in this case I feel it works really well. No matter how big or small you are you want to feel this heartwarming emotion this time of year, so well done to John Lewis for this clever combination of technique to produce such magic .
I am so excited to see what the genius people at John Lewis produce this year but just to set you in the mood,or for those who have been unfortunate enough not to have seen them here are the adverts from the last few years ...
