Can We Ever Just Be Happy For a Celebrity...

New images released today of  'Friends Star' Jennifer Aniston being criticised for her huge engagement ring  sparked the question in my head that can the public ever just be simply happy for a celebrity?
 Or do we thrive off criticising there seemingly perfect life in a jealous comparison to our own .... As admit it, if we had the money I am sure we would opt for a super sparkly rock on our ring finger.


For the last few years everyone has always sided with Jennifer as being the single 40 year old that we wished would find her happy ever after, especially after what I can only describe as the most devastating break up between her and Brad Pitt back in 2005.

Many publications have now tainted her fabulous news of her engagement to Justin Theroux by describing her admittedly super huge engagement ring as "gaudy" thus putting a negative angle on such celebratory news.

When simply a wow what a lucky girl she is to be given such fabulous diamonds would be satisfactory in my opinion.

I feel the media and its publics  need to focus more on positive news stories, there are far too many sad and negative things already in this world without the need to create more.
This can only be emphasised by  our Great British year of  news stories from the Golden Jubilee and the London Olympics which bought every body together as one happy society.

Now I will climb down off my soap box and go and relax with a cup of tea ... But who agrees ... Good News is better then bad right ??
